Green Spinach and Ginger Smoothie

The nutrient-rich, bright green spinach and apple combined with a boost of protein from Greek yogurt and the spicy kick of fresh ginger of this blended beverage will put some pep in your step. 

 

Makes 1 serving 

  • 2 cups tightly packed raw spinach 
  • 1/2 cup water 
  • 2-3 ice cubes 
  • 1 green apple, cored and chopped 
  • 1/2 cup Greek yogurt 
  • 1 tablespoon fresh ginger, diced 

Blend spinach with water and ice. With blender on low, incorporate the apple, yogurt, and ginger. Increase speed to high and blend for 30 seconds or until smooth. Enjoy cold.
